Young!Charles and Erik have gotten back together. Their older selves are insufferably smug about it, and can't resist making comments about how "yes, Erik, I understand you're in a snit because I stole your shirt last week, but if you tell me-- the younger me-- about it now, we'll all have a good laugh, and you can stop pouting."
